Since several months bustling building activities can be observed on the area of the Hänsch group of companies. „The positive progression of the last business year as well as some bigger signed contracts for the years to come required the enhancement of the premises“, firm owner Hans-Jürgen Hänsch and general manager Michael Myohl commented the extensive investments.
The Hänsch group is located in Herzlake since 1984. The location at the Schützenstraße is the principal office for the Hänsch Holding and the operative business divisions Hänsch Warnsysteme, Hänsch Signaltechnik and Hänsch Engineering with their administration, manufacturing as well as developing departments. Because of the low vertical range of manufacture at the Hänsch group from the start there was a need for close co-operations with many regional, national and international manufacturers. The outsourcing enables to save the location for the company, keep it flexible and enables short reaction time in matter of any exterior changes.
The Hänsch group develops, manufactures and sells optic and acoustic warning systems for the labelling of different cars. These products are used e. g. in the vehicles of police, fire brigade or rescue services, for street maintenance, municipal service and towing service or in armoured car for the personal security or military use. Next to beacons and light bars in double flash and LED-technology the product range from Hänsch provides directional optic warning systems for additional securing for the vehicles to the front or the back. Electronic special signal systems with compact air chamber loudspeaker and state of the art amplifier ensure the acoustic warning for the road traffic.
Another segment of product contents the FOLLOW ME information systems with light guiding technology displays which can be found at many international airports around Europe. Based on the same technology there are also changing traffic sign systems for escort vehicles for heavy transport available.
The development and manufacturing of vehicle specific warning- and special signal devices for the automobile industry and bodybilders for fire rescue and ambulance cars is one of the main targets of the company today. These systems are adapted to the type of vehicle and it is final use and their components were integrated in the cars.
Convinced by their own product as well as their competitive edge and pursuing their way the management of Hänsch enabled the first approvals in times of the formation of the company and the final success of the company. With steady innovation, new patented solutions and optimal adaptation of their products the Hänsch group consolidated their market leadership in these sectors.
The company Hänsch is a notable partner for development projects and supplier for complete systems for international automobile manufacturers such as AUDI, BMW, DaimlerChrysler, FIAT, FORD, NISSAN, OPEL, RENAULT and Volkswagen.
Many co-operations with manufactures and bodybuilders for military activities, for fire rescue or ambulance cars (such as Rosenbauer, Ziegler, IVECO, Schlingmann, AmbulanzMobile, WAS, GSF, Binz, Krauss-Maffei-Wegmann, Rheinmetall etc.) aim at the corporate development or optimal adaptation of the warning systems.
In co-operation with these partners Hänsch develops integrated systems according to the highest demands of the automobile industry and their customers. This was just one reason why the company enables positive results even in times of bad economic data and against the trend of the economic sector.
The continuous positive growing of the company led to a nomination and later on the awarding as a finalist for the “Oskar for medium sized companies 2004” and the “Great award for medium sized companies 2005”.
Social commitment is very important to firm owner Hans-Jürgen Hänsch. Since many years the group of companies gets particularly involved in the disabled sport. The sponsoring for the thalidomide injured biathlete Josef Giesen led to the establishment of the nationwide unique foundation for the benefit of disabled sports in Lower Saxony.
Due to organizational and constructional changes, new capacities in the branch of production came into existence. The firm building got a new entrance zone as a result of the also necessarily enhancement of the management section. The most constructional change happens actually to the development center which was only finished in 2004.
The high demands for development services of the specialists of Hänsch necessitate the enhancement of the building. Next to a new vehicle hall in which works and tests at larger vehicles will take place the development center will extend by new offices and more modern facilities.
The nascent building housed also the new social premises and a canteen for the employees as well as a continual exhibition in the new “Infocenter”. This new center which opens officially with an in-house exhibition in the autumn shall give an overview about the innovative products and the capacity of the development division of the firm.
“The investments in Herzlake create new training and working places. They secure the location and the capacity of the firm. During the next 2 years 50 additional working places shall here arise”, the management reported.
